Our firm provides valuations for various purposes. Some of the purposes include; collateral, accounting, sale, purchase, insurance, taxation, updating and creating of asset registers and several others. Our expertise in providing valuation consultancy services is varied and based on careful selective procedure to suite each assignment in order to provide our clients with the best Professional services.

BACKGROUND OF THE FIRM

T.P. Chibwe & Company was established in the year 1992 by Mr. T.P.Chibwe. The Company was established primarily to provide consultancy services in valuation and appraisal of various interests in real estate property. Mr. T.P.Chibwe served as the Principal Consultant of the firm until his demise. Mr T P Chibwe was registered to practice as a Valuation Surveyor under the Valuation Surveyors Act CAP 207 of the Laws of Zambia. He was also a member of Surveyors Institute of Zambia (SIZ). Mr T.P.Chibwe was one of the Senior Valuation Surveyors in Zambia; he was a Member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV) of the United Kingdom and qualified in the General Practice Division, Valuation Faculty. He was also a Registered Valuation Surveyor (RVS) and Member of the Surveyors’ Institute of Zambia (SIZ). He was also a Member of Zambia Institute of Estate Agents. He had over thirty (30) years of working experience in Property Valuations. He had over twenty (20) years in private practice as Principal Consultant for T P Chibwe & Company and another twelve (12) years in the Government Valuation Department, under the Ministry of Local Government and Housing. He also worked with S P Mulenga Associates, one of the leading valuation firms at the time, for two (2) years as Copperbelt Area Manager before he formed T.P.Chibwe and Company. While serving in the Government Valuation Department, TP Chibwe was appointed Secretary of the Rating Valuation Tribunal ( RVT). The RVT is more or less like the Lands Tribunal except that the RVT is an Administrative Court, which presides over disputes or objections arising from rating valuation matters in the Country. Mr Chibwe served, as Board Member of the Valuation Surveyors Registration Board. The Valuation Surveyors Registration Board is the body, constituted by an Act of Parliament, to register Valuation Surveyors and also to administer Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct of Valuation Surveyors in Zambia. Mr Chibwe was also appointed member of the Standing Board of Survey of the National Tender Board. His role was to advise the Board on matters relating to valuations of property.
